PARTNER CARE SERVICES
Partner Care Services encompass the ministries that provide care and development for new and existing partners of the Church. The spiritual and practical needs of our members and community are met through our In-Touch Ministry, Deacon Ministry, Pulse Ministry Team, Altar Counselors, Counseling & Guidance Ministry, and our Biblical Foundation & Servant-hood programs.
The In-Touch Ministry establishes a welcoming atmosphere through weekly Guest Reception for first-time visitors and maintains contact with them as well as our current partners. This ministry is responsible for making personal telephone calls and sending out letters to inquire about a member or visitor’s needs and encourage them in their walk with God. The Deacon Ministry serves the partners of IYWCC with hospital visitation, home visits, bereavement, baptisms and communion.
The Pulse Ministry Team is an ‘in-reach’ oriented ministry that creates and maintains a healthy flow of communication between the Executive Administration of the church to the partners and volunteers. This ministry determines and responds to urgent needs of the partners, creates and maintains incentives among partners and volunteers that encourages a high level of morale, and identifies crisis situations and provides resource information.
The Altar Counselors provide support and direction for those individuals who receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior and/or desire to become a partner with IYWCC during our weekly services. Counselors assist those individuals who desire to receive Water Baptism and/or the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as well as those who need special prayer. This ministry works in conjunction with our Discipleship programs and aids in assimilating our visitors and new partners into the IYWCC community.
The Biblical Foundations & Servant-hood Ministry empowers and spiritually develops our new partners and attendees with principles gleaned from the Bible. We teach individuals what the Bible says and how to apply it to the decisions and situations they encounter. Individuals who participate in these programs discover their identity in Christ, their character develops and transforms into the image of Christ, they receive the opportunity to discover and sharpen their areas of gifting, and find a place within the ministry context to serve and express their gifts. Once both of these programs are completed, a person is prepared and equipped to use their gifts to glorify God.
The Counseling & Guidance Ministry serves our partners and our surrounding communities with spiritual guidance in accordance with Biblical principles, acknowledging and recognizing that the Holy Spirit is leading in the areas of deliverance and restoration. We believe that the enrichment services that are provided through our Counseling & Guidance Department provide a path to wholeness of body, mind and spirit in the Christian’s pursuit of health, wholeness and holiness.
