Thy Will Be Done

Creating People Who Cannot Be Destroyed!

Reaching people across the world may sound like a simple task in today’s era. However, changing people’s lives at the same time, for the better in every area, is an entirely different assignment.

Ray A. Barnard, Senior Pastor and Founder of Impacting Your World Christian Center, has been accomplishing this precise duty. God gave him the vision create people who cannot be destroyed!” He is carrying out this vision every day in people and communities around the world. These words hold enormous empowerment from a man that exudes boldness and determination. His footsteps have been positioned with the power to teach and encourage those struggling to fulfill God’s plan and purpose for their lives.

“Being where your purpose is will bring you fulfillment and connect you to everything that God has for you in life,” he explains.

Pastor Barnard’s demeanor exemplifies the excellence of God in every area. He is a man of great wisdom, revelation and love for God. It is not surprising to find that many of his experiences during his life-long journey have always involved leadership, being able to motivate people, communicate well, and inspire the masses in an uplifting manner. He visibly has an enormous passion and love for people, and succeeds at transforming lives all over the world.

A native of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, he lost both of his parents at the age of 10 and moved to the Philadelphia area. There, he resided in the care of his sister, a single parent, struggling on welfare, raising her seven children. This was definitely a life-changing event and the beginning of life-impacting knowledge toward a relationship with God.

Upon accepting Christ as his Savior, Pastor Barnard heard the voice of God tell him: “I am your source and your inheritance!”

Learning to grasp the huge lesson of faith came quite early for him. He realized then that God was able to provide everything, exceedingly and abundantly more than what he needed through his entire life - including his extraordinarily gifted wife, Tracey, and their two-year-old daughter, Rayna.

In obedience to God’s call, the Barnards relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend Oral Roberts University Signs and Wonders School of Theology. There, in the interim, Pastor Barnard received his ministerial credentials and was subsequently ordained by Victory Christian Fellowship Ministries in Tulsa.

In 1994, the Barnards established Impacting Your World Christian Center in Philadelphia. Amazingly, what began with 11 people in their home quickly grew to a church of more than 2,500 strong. Pastor Barnard currently conducts three Sunday morning services to accommodate the overflowing weekly crowd. In addition, special teen and children’s services, Bible training classes, discipleship classes, outreach events, and countless other weekly worship services and events keep life flowing at the church on a daily basis from early morning to late at night. Pastor Barnard also teaches and preaches to thousands at special events and conferences on a monthly basis. A recent Impacting Your World Super Sunday one-day event drew more than 8,000 people, and a recent Word Explosion Conference drew more nearly 9,000.

A non-denominational, Bible-based ministry for the entire family, Impacting Your World also reaches beyond the church walls and the city of Philadelphia. Pastor Barnard’s television and radio broadcast, “Vision For Life,” transforms the lives of people throughout the world - reaching across the United States, the Virgin Islands and Europe, including England, Germany, France, Italy and parts of Asia.

Pastor Barnard says, “My desire is to show people who they are, and to change people’s understanding. Only then can we actually change people’s situations and environments. My greatest joy comes from seeing people grow in life, seeing people ‘get it,’ then seeing them go and run with it!”

Pastor Barnard’s life proves that a good man truly does obtain favor from the Lord (Proverbs 12:2).
